First Sail of the Season

Yesterday, after a cold trip down the Delaware River from Riverside, NJ, we set the genny upon coming out of the C&D Canal. We had a brisk WNW breeze as we sailed down the Elk River, into the Bay & most of the way up the Sassafras River to our summer home in Georgetown Yacht Basin.

Nice! We had a great stay at anchor on the Sassafras River. A bald eagle picked up his dinner (a large fish) from the water as he flew by our stern, right at sunset. It was a beautiful sight.

It was brisk yesterday! Glad you had a good time. I love George town except it's such a long sail/motor to and from the Bay.

I'd be jealous, except that a friend took me out on his Soling this afternoon. Sunny, and brisk offshore winds.

First time I've managed to sail in Ontario before May! :dance:
