Finished post planning yesterday and headed out to the lake today for a 7 hour sail with the wife and child. After putting on the life lines we sailed off the dock, spent five hours just having fun sailing. I even stirred some sand with my centerboard in a shallow area. Sailed into the yacht club dock and cooled off in the clubhouse and then sailed off the dock and across the lake to dock her for the day. Just cranked up the outboard to make sure she was ready in case. What a great day and a great omen to the summer ahead. I can't wait for the end of June and beginning of July for a three weak trip to Tampa to island hop and sail. My wife was laying on the front sunbathing today and said it was a great idea to get back into sailing. A few minutes later I almost fell asleep at the tiller with the boat tracking perfectly straight on a long run and the gentle rise and fall.
