A lot of firsts today. Cut off the shrink wrap. Pain in the >>>>. Glad I won't be doing that again. How do you get the glue spots off? Maybe Goo-be-Gone.
Painted the bottom for the first time. In some ways, it was much easier than painting the 26. There is more room under the boat and navigating the cradle is easier than crawiling under the trailer.
Now for the Seahawk Bottom Paints. About 6 weeks ago, I posted on the site to see if anyone had used Seahawk paints. Well I took the plunge and here are my first impressions.
Working with the Silver Bullet paint was just like working with VC-17. Smells the same, mixes and applies the same. Which is simple and painless to use. The big improvement was in the color. the paint is available in Black, Silver, Red and Blue. I chose the blue and the color looks great. VC-17M rolls on gold and changes to black/blue gray or red in the water. Seahawk says the color will not change once launched.
Well, now we just need to see how it holds up and works to keep growth and slime off.
