First day sailing 2009

First day out and had all foul weather gear on to keep warm.

I forgot the seals name but he's my only friend on the sea.

To busy sailing to use S1 autopilot.

I also forgot how to edit video on U-tube.......

We sail year round and went out today. Cool(cold) but no rain and a nice breeze. Sailing is great!!!

I saw one of the prettiest boats I have ever seen.

Got out today myself for the first time in two months. They finally completed the mastup storage area. It was blowing pretty good out there 15-20 kts. The swells were 4-5 but seemed larger close to shore. I saw one of the prettiest boats I have ever seen. It was all wood with a natural finish. Not paint anywhere except the bottom. I didn't have time to read the name but it was flying a British flag. Looked to be about 90ft. The finish on it was flawless. I barely got this photo as I was entering the channel the rocks from the breakwater were close on on the starboard and I had a motor sailor closing fast and two more boats in front who were heading out.

Does anyone know what boat this is?

Way to go Paul. Enjoyed the video, especially the part where you talk to the seal! I could hear the wind but it looked awfully calm. The '310' was reefed to the hilt, must have been blowin' pretty good.
