Be warned that all boats are not identical, especially after 30 years of modifications and owner preferences.

Needing a new main gives you the opportunity to go with a loose-footed design (which seems to be the rage) or add a Dutchmen. Unless you're in the boondocks, most sailmakers will want to make a visit to measure your boat. If you buy something online, make sure you measure everything twice.
