First 310 for cruising/racing?

Hi,I'm considering an older First 310, but I'm not sure how well suited this boat is for fast coastal cruising. Is this primarily a race boat, or will it do both well? The PHRF rating suggests this is a very fast boat.John

first 310 cuise or race

I have owned a first 310 for a year now and she is a fast cruising boat. comfortable enough for us age 60+ folks and faster than alot of other boats in our marina. Heads up to the wind better than Hunters by abt 5 degs. Little or no weather helm to abt 18 kts wind under full sail and we have been out in winds to abt 25 kts with one reef on main and short jib and felt comfortable.
