Looks interesting. Anyone know what's inside as would be concerned about some chemicals when used in an enclosed space. Many good ones for extinguishing fires are now banned.
I see the demo video is in the open but would caution about hazardous chemicals below deck until w know more.

it says avoid sunlight, moisture, and humidity.. Kinda tough on a boat..
Looks like a detonator inside the ball full of normal fire extinguishing powder. Interesting..

Does anyone know what those clear round rubber accesses are that they put into the engine areas on the newer boats?

From what I understand if you had a fire in your engine area you just shove the fire extinguisher through the hole and pull the trigger keeping the fire enclosed.

I would like to add one to my boat as it was made before these things came out apparently.

they are called fireports-you can get them at WM, defenders, etc. they let you attack an engine fire without exposing yourself to flames or allowing more oxygen to get to the fire

Would a sausage shaped tube work better? A ball thrown at a fire by an excited person might roll away, a sausage might stay better. Just a thought. I love the idea if the chemicals aren't a problem.
