Finishing inside walls of O'DAY

Hi! Everyone knows the rough tissue(fabric) that cover the walls of our parts O'DAY. Mine are still in good condition but from the wash what you did. Can we change the color and if so with what. I know that some have remake in wood and is very pretty. So is there a solution without any rebuild and improve aesthetics. Thank Régis

Fabric spray

I'm in the middle of stripping mine off of my 222 right now. If you can avoid doing that, by all means do it! Not a fun job and much tougher than I expected. I tested using a paint scraper last night and that seems to help with the tougher pieces. Anyway, I would suggest an automotive carpet spray. I've used it before (not on a boat, though) and it does a nice job. Consistent color, doesn't bleed or transfer once it's set. We have the fabric, too. Would like to switch it out with something more attractive, not absorbent with moisture. Any ideas?

marine vinyl

I just ordered 10 yards of marine grade vinyl. Not carpet. easy to clean, mildew resistant, good looking. Ther are a million things you can put on the inside of your hull. It's all a matter of $$, time, ability, weight (if that's important to you, which it was to me). I was going to put tongue and groove ceder, but that was going to be time consuming and added too much weight to the boat. The marine vinyl is light, not too expensive ($10 linear yard) and easy to install (measure twice, cut once)
