Thursday evening my son Zach and I took Verboten out for our first sail of the year. Tried out the new GoPro camera too.

They drain our lake starting October 1 and don't put the plug back in until Feb 1. If we're lucky we can put in around 1 April and sail right up to the end of September. If we were over at the coast or up in Portland on the Columbia we could sail year round. Too expensive!Liked that a lot! But I thought you folks sailed year 'round out there. "First sail" is reserved for us midwestern and north eastern sailors.
I ended up buying Adobe Premiere Elements 9 direct from Adobe. $79 after $20 mail in rebate.I bought myself one of these as an xmas present. Been using it in the pool and trip to Fl. The images are amazing. Just need to nail down a good editing software that can handle HD.
2 feet a day? That's a lot of water and yet the water is really high in Portland right now so I guess it's good they're holding some back. They lowered our lake 72 feet for dam repairs and excessive winter snowpack. We sail on Lake Roosevelt behind Grand Coulee Dam. Yesterday they started filling it back up at 2 feet a day. It will be 11 days before we can use the launch ramp and June 19th before it's full.
