Peggie,
I am finally about to act to change out the hoses on the boat, an '83 H31.
I am following your advice to go with the Trident sani hose.
Is there an advantage of the white over the black? It costs more but is it just cosmetic? You mentioned a "vented loop" in an earlier posting, what is that?
Also, we are thinking eliminating the thru-hull and only going to the tank.
Would appreciate your thoughts.
Would you happen to know the diameters of the other hoses? Any recommendations for brand and type?
By any chance know the lengths?

Thank you, in advance.

Re Trident 101 vs 102 hose...the main difference is only cosmetic, so if you're happy with black, go with black.

A vented loop is a siphon break device. You can see what they look like if you google "vented loop."

Standard size for head intake hose is 3/4"...head intake hose should be 1.5", but if your toilet is a Jabsco, it could be 1"...tank discharge hose is 1.5"...tank vent line is prob'ly 5/8", but should be 1" to keep the tank aerobic.

In your waters, unless you have a Type I treatment device, all your toilet waste does have to go into the tank to be pumped out....so if you want to plumb the system that way, it's a good idea. But if I were you I'd start saving my pennies to add a PuraSan or Lectra/San to your system...you'll need the thru-hull for that.

As for how many feet of each you'll need, you'll have to buy a plane ticket if you want me to provide those measurements! :)
