Wondering if anyone besides me has problems filling their fuel tank. I'm not sure it is a problem with just my boat or if this is a problem on other Hunters.
In order to fill the tank without overflowing the flow has to be pinched way back - somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 gal per minute or less. Some of the marinas have high flow pumps and it is impossible to pinch the flow back this far and it ends up being a nightmare trying to keep diesel from spilling into the lake :cussing:. I haven't investigated the fuel tank vent to see if there is a problem there since this has been going on since the boat was new. Getting to the point where I'm just siphoning out of 5 gallon cans rather then going to a marina. This summer we plan on ~ 1200 nm r/t up to Lake Superior and back to Chicago. Consequently I would like to top the tank off whenever we make a stop. Can't see filling 5 gallon cans and siphoning every fill up.
