For sure. but for this particular repair, I'd use plain poly. I rebuilt a Chrysler dagger some 10 years ago that had the exact problem. It's still sailing now. Well- the owner has it sitting on a trailer and hasn't used it in a while, but it's still good to go.

Vinylester sure eased off the rate of blistering though. Good stuffl

Thanks for the clarification!

I guess what you are saying is once you go to epoxy, you can't go back to polyester resin.

I remember having a problem with a repair after using epoxy, and had to grind most of the epoxy out to get the larger patch to stick.


Anyway, that area will likely see another repair in the future. so I would use polyester resin and mat cloth.

So would I, with a mat/cloth/mat cloth matrix. Ending with some 10 oz cloth on top so it'll be easier to fair
