Has anyone had a problem with the inflation valve on their boat fenders. I had to pump mine up and when I pulled the inflation needle out the valve won't close. Is there a way to fix this. I hate to pay $35 for new fenders because of a 10cent part.

taylor made fenders? I'd ask the mfg... might be a lifetime warranty on the valve.

Even WalMart covers their fenders. I had one go bad on my dock slip finger and they let me swap it for a new one.

I must admit I have never pumped mine up - although I was just about to do that before I read your post. Mine are Taylor Made but they came with the boat so I don't know if I could claim on warranty.

Did you wet the needle before inserting it in the valve? With basketballs and footballs I know they recommend to wet the needle before inserting it in the valve. I usually twist it a bit when I insert it just to make sure I don't damage the valve.

Not sure what make mine are. They came with the boat last year when I bought it. Yes I wet the needle and carefully twisted it in and out of the valve. They still do the job ok I guess.
