I can't find a cherub. tiller arm for a 1976 25 anywhere. I just bought this boat and it did not come with one, seems that the arm/handle was probably forked at the end and a bolt centered through the middle? I am flabbergasted that there aren't more parts for these boats. I realize my boat is old and many have most likely met their ultimate fate, however, these are production boats, many were made and they need part replacements almost from the first time their placed in the water. I would imagine some industrious person making a bundle on sailboat parts. Does anyone have dimensions for a tiller arm for this size and year boat they could send me. Possibly a picture and/or a trace of the arm would be more than perfect. I'm willing to pay for any cost incurred i.e. mailing, photo development etc. Thank you, Mark Crociati

tiller arm specs 2

I didn't finish before posting the picture. I was saying, I will get the specs of the arm off my boat tomorrow and post. You may have to reduce the tiller length as it is very long in the cockpit of the 27'

Mark, I have a 84 Hunter 25.5 and had to replace the tiller the year after I bought her. I bought mine from West Marine. It wasn't "For" a hunter but a Catalina 25 and it fits just fine. Of course I had to drill the holes for the bolts that mount it to the rudder. But no the less it works great.

I have seen tillers like yours for sale at West

Marine. They were about $55.
