Feedback Needed on Blue Performance sheet bags

We need some sheet bags and the Blue Performance versions look quite nice. Manufacturers web site describes construction as "Ripstop" which to me implies nylon - not the best material for longevity. Anyone have any experience (> 1 year) with these?

A buddy has their winch handle holders and they have held up fine for a few years of Maine sailing. They appear rugged. I may also buy some. They sell them at West Marine if you want to go see some in person.

Ripstop indicates that the material is designed with reinforced "threads" in the weave to help stop it from ripping once torn or damaged and has nothing to do with whether it is nylon or not. Ripstop nylon is very commonly used in things like sleeping bags, but isn't the only ripstop material out there.

I have a pair of their halyard bags that I mast-mounted a little over a year ago. They've held up pretty well, although the synthetic mounting straps (not sure what they're constructed of) are showing signs of aging from sun exposure.

I have three sheet bags from Blue that I've had for a few years. The are holding up just fine (still look brand new). I remove them when leaving the boat at the end of the weekend since they are easily removed (I am concerned about theft). Also I don't want the Chesapeake Bay spiders making homes out of them.

I have one of the Blue Performance pocket storage items. It is a large rectangular pannel with several pockets installed on it to hold various smaller items. It fastens to a large flat surface and can easily be removed. I don't know what we'd do without it, it really comes in handy. It is well made and sturdy as are all their products.

I am super happy with the two sheet bags I have in the cockpit. I remove them when not in use and mount them on the inside of the cabin on the "reverse side" by using an extra set of plastic mounts that were sent free of charge when I emailed the company.

A+ product and support
