Something about a sunset sail. I don't think this will ever grow old for me, particularly when sailing with my wife. We were just one of 4 boats left on the lake to enjoy this. Now if I could only talk my wife into a moonlight sail.

You'll want a better camera than I have for a moonlight sail (motor). ;)

My view from the bow of my boat, Tanqueray and Tonic in hand, anchored off the beach on the south end of Lake Michigan over the holiday weekend.

And had the Notre Dame game streaming. On my laptop down below.

Quite the exciting game. I had seen extra points blocked and run back for 2 points but never to send a game into overtime. That game was what college football is all about.

A couple of weeks ago while my wife and I were enjoying a wonderful sunset sail, the Pearl of the Lake, a paddle wheeler which cruises on Lake City, came up river as we were sailing downriver. I adjusted course to bring us closer, jokingly telling my wife that the passengers on the riverboat would enjoy taking pictures of us in the sunset. As we neared the boat, several folks had their phones out taking pictures of us. I did get one of them too.

I started thinking a few days later, I wonder if we could find any of those pictures online? Sure enough, when we looked at the riverboat's website, there we were!

My wife is the one on bow seat enjoying a glass of wine. I'm kicked back at the helm.

Here's the picture I took of the riverboat

Might have been the same day as plenny's shot, 90 miles away. From the RC boat, ghosting upwind towards the finish at sunset; 2 knots of breeze. Everyone on the low side.

Taken last night. Out for a solo sail when another solo sailor took this pic during a cross.
