the app is fine......but where are my charts i downloaded within the app?
Except for photos, Apple is kind of occult-ish as to the location of their caches on your device. If you contact Apple, they should steer you.

I've had to re-install my iSailor charts once or twice.

Navionics simply because it integrates well with Raymarine chart plotter. I've used iSailor too and would probably still be using it if I didn't have the chart plotter.
VesselFinder is great if you don't have AIS.
SailFlow great for wind predictions and conditions.
WhatKnotToDo is great when you forget how to tie a bowline.

Be sure you enable Apple Cloud and designate that your charts back up to Cloud. That way you can access them on other devices, like the iPad you are going to want.

Just installed an app mentioned in the Raymarine forum with a magnetometer from Genesco called iNstall. The magnetometer can be used to find a good location to install your autopilot sensor without magnetic interference.
Also has many other features like old transducer wiring diagrams and installation instructions. Lots of goodies in this one.
