MyRadar. Free App. Shows radar images across the entire nation, and can be zoomed for local. Also gives current conditions at chosen points.,

AyeTides. Free app- give choice of locations for tides, in Tabular form, or if phone is rotated, in graph form

I like Week Cal for my calendar. It has more features than the iPhone calendar. It's the one app you would have to pry from my cold dead hands.

I like Solebon. Klonike Solitaire is a great app for the boarding lounge at the airport.

My go to ones for sailing are WindFinder and Navionics. I have AyeTides and do like it too, but the Navionics app also shows tides and currents, so if I have the charts open I just end up using the data on that one. I've also been dabbling with a few apps that download grib files to get weather info, but I haven't settled on one I really like (if anyone has any suggestions on one of those, I'm all ears!)

Active Captain with the Locator, Eboats, and Companion. It adds to many Nav programs or stand alone without a Wifi connection to give info on hazards, marinas, points of interest as well as finding other cruisers that enable the Locator App. I've also been checking out the route sharing tab which gives some neat routes by other cruisers.

NOAA Buoys (which is not actually from NOAA)
Wind Finder Pro

These two are realtime chart plotters and route planners:
Navimatics Charts & Tides (handles Active Captain data)
Skipper ( handles Active Captain data)

Wunderground for weather (not as good since theweather channel bought it out)

Anchor (anchor alarm)

Get an Active Captain account. It's free and gives you tons of data from shoaling to fuel prices to dock prices and phone numbers to arrange a slip.

iSailor is a GREAT app and I recommend it unreservedly...

AS LONG AS you sail in waters covered by your country's marine mapping agency. I see the poster sails in Alberta on a lake, I'm guessing the CHS does not map that lake, so iSailor will not have coverage. For lake sailing, the first job is to see what apps have coverage where you sail, and then pick from those!
