The warm water faucet in my head of my Hunter 45CC does not close anymore. Does anybody know how to take the faucet apart and repair it?

Thanks so much! V

Hunter uses various makes and models of faucets on their boats even within the same production year. Please post a picture of your problem faucet and someone with the same faucet maybe able to help out.

Gently lift off the red hot water indicator. Under it you will see a screw. Remove that and the knob will come off. When it's off you should see the nut that will back the valve mechanism out.
Most faucets today have a cartridge that can be replaced.

The store on here does carry replacement faucets and I'd bet they'd be able to get you parts for yours. Try them.

Good job, Viktor. I believe this is the faucet that you have. Sorry I didn't see the earlier post with almost the exact info.

I don't have this faucet but I believe I have one quite similar. They are all fairly similar in the way they work, so here goes. The little plastic plug (red indicating hot in your case) can be pried out with a sharp knife. Phil does have replacements if you bugger them up. There will be a philips screw holding the knob on. Then I believe there will be a stem held on with a packing nut. The stem will have one or more o rings fitted on it. Most likely the o ring(s) are worn out and can easily be replaced.
Maybe a member with the exact faucet can confirm this repair procedure.

Good advice. O rings can be purchased at any well stocked hardware store, FYI. They are not necessarily a "marine" item, nor do they need to be sourced online, although the store on this site is awesome.

If you're not that familiar with faucets, I recommend searching for a website called How Things Work, which will show you how to do it. Most likely YouTube videos these days, too.

Good luck.

Replace it with a single lever faucet. Boat HW is so hot it is difficult to regulate the temperature. Easy to do with a single lever faucet.
