Fastening a Burgee

I need to fasten a new burgee to my spreader wire. Does any one know how to do this and what I need?

I've done a few ways. There are those hooks sold at chandleries.

You could use monel wire to lash them to the wire (Shroud?).
You could use UV resistant zip ties.
You could put a block on the spreader and run a halyard thru it to tie off somewhere near the deck.
How high do you want it? Do you want to remove the burgee when not sailing? Do you care if you observe flag etiquette?

Sorry for the late reply, so perhaps you've already solved this. Learn to tie a rolling hitch or an icicle hitch and use some light line to lash it on. https://www.animatedknots.com/indexboating.php
