Hi Jim

Hey Jim I was just getting ready to call you and see how things were going
and saw all your family visiting you on face book and decided to wait.
Hang in there buddy your too good and a very strong guy to leave us all and I am sure after all your treatment you will be sailing all around again for sure.
I live in a retired community and have had a lot of friends who had the same treatment and doing just great,my Kayaking buddy had the treatment over 2 years ago and they said it did not look good but guess what he is Kayaking like crazy.
So hang in there and I am looking forward to going to the Bahama's and keys with you and Joan.

Well, damn it Jim! That is lousy news. Since there isn't anything further you can do, there is nothing left to do but to let your friends do what they can do to help out and enjoy Java. I hope it is for many more seasons to come. It's hard to think what to say when you get that kind of news from a friend. That's about all I can think of to say.

Good luck, Jim! It sounds like you consider yourself a fortunate fellow--here's hoping that continues.

FWIW Jim, both my wife and niece have recently undergone chemo, it's been advancing so fast recently that results have been exceeding expectations.

Jim has been a great friend since the first time I met him. I have shared a few gatherings and raft-ups with him.

There are a lot of us that are there to help. Let us know how we can help you.

Don't give up, no matter what. You have always had a great zeal and zest for life. You can beat this!

Where's the "unlike" button? Never met you and probably never communicated with you. But I just wish you the very, very best (and your family too). Cancer sucks big time. I don't even know you, but I weep for you. Hopefully you can enjoy what you have left and what you have left is a long time. We all belong to that latent clock.

Say the word and the gang is ready to get her ready for the water. Over? Was it over when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor?...Hell No! Cocktails at sunset.

Obviously, Stu's not familiar with Animal House. :D

Sorry to hear of this diagnosis. Stand fast. It seems there are locals at the ready.

Jim: I am sorry to hear your news. Please don't give up. A positive attitude will help you fight this. I had heart failure back in 2003 and my "pump" got down to delivering 15% and I thought I was done for. I refused to die and got better. I survived and now my pump is about half a normal one, but good enough. I am sorry Seadaddler, you and I missed each other this winter in Punta Gorda, I was looking forward to meeting you both and feel I know many of the forum members like you even though we have not met physically. Godspeed and Anne and I will be praying for your recovery.

God won't quit, until you do. He'll be there with you, as are we all.

Doctors give up easily. God, friends and family don't.

Let others help you with the trivial, so you keep your focus on taking out that machine gun nest of a cancer.

Fight, fight on...don't let it win.

Semper Fi!

They gave my mother 1 year to live when she had breast cancer in 1977. She survived cancer five times and lived 40 years past their first prognosis. All of our bodies react to the treatments differently. Don't give up the ship. Your body is not the average they estimate the prognosis on. The treatments are so much better now.

Enjoy your life and family.

I first met Jim many years ago as a sailboat dealer located at Smith Mountain Lake, VA and sold him many boats to include JAVA. Today, I sadly came across this thread about my friend. I want you to know a little about Jim.

Jim and his lovely bride, Joan, enjoyed life and occasionally sailed to the Islands sharing with many to include you his adventures, problems encountered with repairs, suggestions, responding back to many and so on. Even as a dealer, Jim not only shared his knowledge but mostly his friendship. When having an Open House displaying boats, both Joan and Jim would come to offer their help but what I enjoyed the most above all, again, his friendship which I always have cherished and not a day goes by I think of this man who has been friends with many and for whom he has helped over the years. In fact I am not sure if he ever sipped any of my moonshine. Several years ago, Jim gave me several model railroad engines which I have displayed and will continue to do so as he put them together. Very rarely will a model railroader do that but that is the type of person he is.

Jim, get a second opinion and let us all fight together. The new house is under way and I want you to come and enjoy it as if it were your home. Oh Heck, I called you my brother in the past anyway. Ann and I will have you in our prayers and will ask that all of you include Jim Seamons in your prayers as well.

Your adopted brother, Dave Condon or should I say Crazy Dave
