Fan runs continuously

The fan on my 1987 AB refer runs continuously. The unit does not cool very well. On a 85 degree day last summer it took over 4 hours to drop the temp in the box 20 degress. I do not have a manual for the unit.Where should I start?

Chances are

Chances are your compressor is also running continuously. You're loosing refrigerant somewhere. Look the system over for signs of oil. Pay special attention to the couplings connecting the condensing unit to the evaporator. Hopefully, only your couplings need to be tightened.Then the system can be recharged. Let me know where the boat is and I can recommend a service dealer in the area.
