Thinking about getting out of sailing (after almost 50 years). I may post more on the reasons why at a later time, but want an opinion on a fair selling price for my boat. It is a 1980 Hunter 30, some details:
Sails: Main from Airforce, good to very good condition. 110 Lapper good condition, 150 Genoa good condition, storm jib like new.
Standing rigging: all new rigging and masthead sheaves. New lights, wiring in mast.
Running rigging: new main sheet and blocks, new jib halyard. Main halyard fair.
New bottom paint.
Engine: Original Yanmar 2qm15. Currently runs just fine, BUT, it is the original 35 year old, raw water cooled engine. first 20 years in fresh water (Great Lakes), last 15 in salt. Motor mounts need replaced. I recently replaced the cutless bearing, but noted that the prop shaft needs replacement.
Cabin: Teak and holly sole has some stains, fair condition. Seat cushions in good condition, pressurized water and head work, but water heater has been removed. Berthed in San diego. Asking $7,500. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks.
