Hunter 40 Camano Island
Marlow Acquisitions LLC (owner of Marlowe hunter) is a holding company owning many companies, with no further info available on board membership or officers.

it has been almost 3 years, minimal advertising, almost no TV, RAdio, Print co-sponsorship, forget racing, forget the west coast, minimal factory presence on the web with primitive website.

no large investment in upgraded facilities, in fact almost no interest in doing a larger boat than 50

The folks in Charleston have not been idle. Beneteau is still sponsoring, has dealer incentives that put hunter's to shame, not only that, getting a
hold of beneteau's American president is far easier, response is much quicker.

Admittedly I have a bias pro Hunter, year for year I prefer sailing on hunters over bene's and Jene's and Bavarias

But the margin is slipping, I am not absolutely positive the next boat will be a hunter. And what I am seeing for the future is not bright.

I like Glenn's designs, I think the ALACHUA folks can put out faster, cleaner, larger hulls,

To be fair, Hunter has never (in the time I've been around boats) done any TV or radio, or racing really, and the web site is about the same as it's been for a few years now.

Their advertising has certainly dipped but don't forget this a company in the process of a turnaround. Beneteau came out of the recession in a vastly different position; the two companies are at opposite ends of the resource scale. I don't think it's right to criticize where they are today because it's a great accomplishment that they're here at all. The question is, what will they do in the next few years, relative to Beneteau and Catalina.
