I have a 1983 30 oday. I was wondering if anyone knows what the original fabric is called. It is blue with white dashes. I have to redo a bunch of cushions but I am trying to keep the interior original. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You are looking for Olefin fabric. Jacquard type. This was the original sold under the name Herculon. I made all new cushions for my boat with this same material purchased from www.decorativefabricsdirect.com for very reasonable prices.

I was able to find a navy blue fabric with white flecks in it years ago at a marine fabric factory in Warren RI that was very close to that same style, but if I had it to do all over again I would have cut the fabric with a soldering iron hot blade instead of scissors. The material will fray if you cut it with scissors. The hot blade will cut it and seal it. Live and learn, I guess.

Thanks trinkka. Good tip with the soldering iron. I have not yet matched the fabric. I did track down s number for someone in rhode island that may had some involvement in the boats construction. I may have to switch to another fabric even though I don't want to. I'm gonna post a picture of it soon and see if anyone recognizes it.
I bought my fabric at Bristol Cushion in Warren RI many years ago.

If and when I recover my mattresses again, I'm going with a different color and pattern.
I'm posting again hoping that someone knows the name of the original fabric used for the interior of the 1983 oday 30'.
