My current set, though adjustable for tension, cannot be rigged out of the way, and I can see that sailing and hoisting, it would often be better if they could. It would be simple for me to add a simgle clam cleat or similar to make them adjustable. That I understand and have played with. But what is the simplest way to secure them to the mast?I made my own out of bungee cords and they also fold away to the mast, were very easy to use and worked so well folded away at the mast when raising the main and than unfold when needed to lowering the main, folded away also when putting the sail cover on,it was a great system and loved it.
I now have newer boat with furling main and my other computer is down with all my info on the system but I am sure some one else also has it.
Maybe you can return the system you ordered.

I need to adopt something like this. My boat has a basic set of jacks set up by the PO, but it sure would be nice to adapt them to a set-up like yours.More folding which I used some cheap line when I first was setting up on my 290,it was trial and error until it worked very well.
