I read alot of comments on the Lazy Jack system, what about the EZ-JACK system? I understand it can be retracted and stowed out of the way and controled in the cockpit if desired. I've tried several times to contact them with no response.

Build them yourself

Ahoy John; They both work quite well, But I think they are quite expensive compared to building them yourself. ( see link below) I agree they should be able to be stowed, and there should be no metal (blocks etc) attached where they could chafe the sails. I think Harken uses blocks on the ends of the lines. When I made mine I used eye splices ands 1/4 in. three strand nylon. The lines that catch the sail don't really move. That is where the eyesplices would go, no blocks. I think the total cost for mine was about 40 bucks. I admit I scrounged cheek blocks and a couple of cleats. Fair Winds Cap'n Dave
