Which clear coating for new exterior wood have you had the best luck with?

Honey Teak. It has a slight tint but not as dark as Cetol. Has lasted 3 season and still looks like new.

If you can guarantee that you can hermetically seal the wood, clear epoxy such as System Three will permanently seal the wood. This requires that any screw holes or other perforations be sealed with silicone or other sealant. The epoxy must also be coated with varnish for UV protection.

I have only a small amount of exterior teak but after five years, it still looks like wet varnish.

What can be used for covering damaged wood. I will replace all the wood in the next couple of years, but I am wanting to keep these pieces until my carpentry abilities get a bit better. The wood is dried out, but not rotted. Still stiff but light. I would like to cover it all in a good sanding sealer, maybe a few coats. Then just put on some color that will fit with the boat. I will get some good grade wood and replace them when I get a bit better with dealing with the wood. The question I have is what is a good sanding sealer for this? It is a Catalina Capri 16....
