Extending life of rubber

I'd never heard of New-Amarine, so I did some research. New-Amarine isn't a mfr, they're an international distributor of Chinese products That $16 diaphragm pump has the brand name SEAFLO, and is made in China, supposedly by a company called Fuan Lecom...but their company info says they're a "trading company"...their entire North American market is only about 9% of their sales. So who knows who the actual mfr is. All of which means that no replacement parts or tech support is available. New-Amerine products do get decent reviews, but no one seems to have owned one for very long.

So if you need a new pump and you're on too tight a budget to afford a "mainstream US" brand name pump, I'd go for it. But I'd buy two of 'em 'cuz like most things, you get what you pay for...and if it's typical of the products sold by another US distributor of cheap Asian, South American and I-don't-know-where-else products (Five Oceans), you'll be lucky if it lasts more than a couple of years.

Two joker valves that you have to completely remove every hose and bowl to get to while leaning over the bowl to reach inside.

No harder than replacing 4 duckbill (joker) valves in a VacuFlush pump...and V/F was introduced in 1978, still using the same pump. But it's only necessary to do either job every 2-3 years at most, so it's not that bad. And, if you ask Raritan tech support (800-352-5630) they might tell you there's an easier way, 'cuz you're first person I've heard complaining about having to do all that to replace joker valves in an Elegance, and I'm pretty sure I would have.

My clean installation shows all plumbing and wiring hidden behind the bowl. Once I remove the three screws to the floor bracket it can be slid forward 6-8 inches. I can then expose the plumbing which I try to exhaust as much fluids as possible over the vent loop. (Three feet of 1 1/2 holds quite a bit.). The seat is removed so the hose holder can be removed to get at the joker valves. I can’t get my head and an arm behind the bowl to loosen then realign hoses and clamps to those joker valves.
Like Apollo XIII using the tools and supplies on board, how do you fix it? No using specialty tools or plasma cutters.

How can I move this to a new thread?

Yeah I tried that and my iPad put it back in this thread.
Weird iPad behavior I have known. ;)

You'll have to endure the indignation of uploading the photos again. Life is hell.

It’s easier to change the joker valves.
Yes it is.
Not sure but I believe that the Apple engineers do not want you to know anything about how the iPad works. It is just to be accepted that it runs on magic.
