Extending Asym Spinnaker

I have a Asym that is about 3 feet too short. Has anyone got a sailmaker to extend it by adding a panel? Is it cost effective consider the Asym is not cheap?

Put a pendant on the tack, lift it higher.

What does 'about 3 feet' really mean? And too short based on what measurment?

Its quite likely you would never notice the difference. Using an adjustable tackline you will be able to get good shape from the sail.

The Tack is about 6 feet off the bowsprit when the tackline is tight. i.e. sailing at 70-80 deg app wind angle. It feels like I am loosing too much drive. If it can be 3 feet lower, it could get a bit more drive.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I have a slightly undersized Asymmetrical. I control it at the halyard and the tack line to my liking. It is nice to have a smaller chute when the wind suddenly picks up on you when you are single handed.

Mine was built for my H23 and I now use it ony H260. It looks small but it's still cool. But then I didn't buy it for speed. I had it built for the challenge and it's a cool spinnaker.

OK that IS short.

I'd call that 6 feet to short.... When tight reaching the tack should be all the way down with a slight curl to the luff. Bearing offf and easing it lets the sail open and combined with an easing of the sheet let the sail rotate to windard.

PS - The CS30 is a great boat.

I was hoping to have the foot extended for about 3-4 feet (add one panel) without breaking the bank.
Not sure if that's doable by a sailmaker without destroying the sail shape.
