I received a quote for an extended warranty for my H33. It is about $1240 to extend the warranty to five years (at this point, an additional 4 years). The warranty seems to cover just about everything, including all the electronics. Anyone considered this? I normally don't get extended warranties (except for my digital camera which seemed delicate...)because they are considered expensive, etc. Thoughts? Michael

Was Included

Our extended warrantee was included in the purchase of the vessel as a sales incentive. To my knowledge included the hull only but I could be wrong. Definitely double check on what it covers. On something that depreciates in value the minute you sign the papers, it might be good to have. Our boat is only 1 1/2 yrs old and we haven't had any warrantee issues yet.

Check who backs it

I know auto dealers sell extended warranties from aftermarket companies. If the warranty isn't from Hunter I would want a lot of info before signing up. Many of these warranty companies disappear or the dealer never signs you up but keeps the money. Learned that one the hard way but made the auto company honor it anyway. Usually the warranties aren't worth it.
