Experience with FilterBOSS?

We need to redo our fuel filtration to simplify filter changes and replace our manual fuel polishing system. Part of the challenge is that we have 500 gallons of diesel in 3 tanks, and except for long range cruising, we don't use 25 gallons in a year. We like the features including the filter switching, integrated pressure guage, integrated pump for polishing, and air bleeding. Before we lay out the money, we would like to hear if other sailors have experience with these systems and any advice.

I spent considerable time with their rep at one of the boats shows - very knowledgeable, hands-on guy, knew his product. Their system has an impressive ability to easy switch between operational filters, and the series with the powered fuel polishing capability seems to be everything you would ever need. In the end it was more than I need. In your case it may be exactly what you need to manage a large fuel storage system. You have some serious requirements. Good luck.

I have their mid level setup (not the dual filter.) While you could build the same type of system using other parts, for the convenience and piece of mind that it is delivered ready to install I highly recommend them. I was having what I thought were some indicator issues, where the engine was bogging down before the filter light would come on, their rep (Patrick) spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me troubleshooting the fuel system piece by piece and then called me back an hour later to make sure everything came back together properly. Their willingness to support what they sell has convinced me to use them again. If I were cruising off shore more frequently, I would install their dual filter with remote control system and robust fuel polishing capability. It is well worth the money! Plus, the ability to test the filter monitors and all parts of the system is fantastic.
