My Helpers name is Milo, he's an 8-year old Jack russell. You can see him in my Avatar. I could put up a complete "Boat-Dog" website with him as the star. He truly is my best friend.

The insulation was bought at Mason's in Port Credit, but I've seen it sold in other stores:

Sound Barrier 54" x 32" x1" 10-35 Db noise reduction. 1" thick barrier consisting two layers of fire retardant foam sandwiching a layer of 1 lb./sq.ft. mass loaded vinyl. 1 mil reflective, aluminized, ripstop reinforced mylar facing.

The stuff is heavy, so you need to glue and screw it in. I used a 3m spray glue (spray both sides, wait a minute, stick on ) followed by 3/4" screws with 2-inch washers, all stainless.

I also purchased aluminum foil duct tape, which I used to seal all the edges, and tape over cuts etc. Buy the American stuff, which has really strong glue compared to the Chinese brands ( 75 feet - Home depot -$15.95)

I started using the old pieces as templates, but quicky changed over to measuring everything (3 times) and cutting new patterns, as I wanted the insulation to cover maximum area.
