Thinwater, can you explain why you're not a fan of deck injection? Not to hijacka thread, but I have about a 2 foot square section of my C22 around the forward hatch that is soft, and something like this seems to be a much easier repair process when compared to the "right" way; particularly if you're like me, and not terribly handy. I was planning on attempting the deck repair in the traditional method this summer, but this product has piqued my interest.

We had expanded foam under the sole of my father's center-console runabout. It was hygroscopic. Be sure yours isn't. One wouldn't think that foam would absorb water, but each cubic foot we removed weighed about 30 pounds, and was dripping wet like a saturated sponge.

The most important step in most adhesive applications is surface prep. How well do you think foam is going to bond to rotten balsa with the consistency of peat moss? Smear wet peat moss on to your next project before gluing.

Not trying to be sarcastic. Just visualize it. Skins rely on the core bonding to both surfaces to make an I-beam. You'll get no bond.

You'll be handier after the project! If you can remove the liner, you can also work from the inside, which avoids finish work. And you will know it is right, not half-assed.
