I am looking for suggestions and/or recommendations for product to use to remove the exhaust stains on the stern of my H306. From what I have read in archives, this is a common staining due to the location of the exhaust relative to water line. Thanks!

soft scrub

I've had good results using "Soft Scrub" and a little elbow grease.

too good to be OK?

I tried the magic eraser...worked much better than anything else I tried. Anyone know of issues/damage from repeated use?

Roger, I've wondered the same thing myself

I have to assume there is some abrasive quality to the magic eraser, or some chemical involved. But I've used them on my boat a lot and I can't seem to see any damage. At home I use them to clean my walls on corners where the dogs rub against and I've noticed the paint has gotten a little thin in some places. It could just be wear and tear though... Manny

citric cleaner

I have had the best results with a citric based cleaner. I'm guessing it;s not too bad for the water. Dennis

You should wear gloves when you use Magic Eraser

and keep it away from your young children. It is caustic (pH 8-10) and the link talks about a chemical burn to a child's face.
