Exhaust Manifold

Has anyone changed the exhaust manifold, on a 1983 Yanmar 2GMF? Does it screw off, because I can see threads at one end?Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks,Richard

Exhaust

Hi, I think that your elbow is the same as mine on a 3GM, there are 4 bolts that fasten the exhaust to the manifold.Not too hard to remove them. I suggest removing the hose first, because if the hose has not been off recently, it will be difficult to remove. I usually remove the hose at the muffler end, then the 4 bolts and wrestle with the elbow off the boat.Good Luck!
