The exhaust hose on my C27 with a Universal 14 HP diesel is not routed with a loop or a high point. It exits the mixing box, then eases down to the foor aft to the exit in the transom. Should the hose routed above the waterline?
On my c27 the exhaust comes out of the waterlift muffler and attatches to a metal strap bracket on the bottom of the cockpit floor, then back down to the exhoust fitting in the stern. A straight shot is inviting water in the engine.
