exhaust flapper valve

I am looking for a simple flapper valve that I can put on the outside of my Cat 27 to keep the heavy seas from washing in...all I find in the stores are 3 inch rubber devices made for power boat exhaust systems.

Catalina Direct has a flapper for this purpose

Flapper

I bought the flapper valve from Catalina Direct. As with all of their items it is well made. However I could not install it on my C-30, as you have to be a contortionist to do so.

Stand on your head

I remember seeing somewhere the phase "you may still have to stand on your head to install" might be the kind of thing to do at your next haul-out.
