Ha... yeah, the forecast has been revised a bit, now: <<Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 84. Light southeast wind becoming south southeast 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.>> I am DYING to try out my new genny but that's actually getting a bit strong as I do want to break it in softly.

Looking at all that, it will be warm enough for my Dart 18 catamaran over on the ICW. Beach cats are hugely popular over there and I bet there will be 20 - 30 in the water. Also, a friend is likely relocating his Morgan OI 41 about 20 miles south on the ICW to it's new mooring in his backyard, so that sounds like a fun day as well... decisions, decisions.... ;-)

So far;

What I did do was to remove the Velcro from the front of my mainsail cover and replace with a zipper. Velcro is good, but does not hold up outside. I make it so when zipping it closed, one zips DOWN. Do not have to worry about it opening up by itself. Gravity always pull DOWN :)

I also sewed a belt with an adjustable clip for the very top part of the neck on the mainsail cover. Those light ropes never worked worth a damn.

Steven, love the Boat name. Mind if I ask what inspired it? Wasn't Steely Dan was it?

I'd love to help your buddy with the Morgan move her... if only I were in the vicinity! It is nice to be aboard a boat when you are not the skipper and the responsibilities are not yours.

As far as great temps... and sailing... we northerners would be pissed if you passed up the opportunity!

Enjoy!!!

Ha... yes, as a matter of fact, originally Aja comes from the album and song, IMHO, possibly the best compilation of "pop tunes" (for lack of a better category) ever written, engineered and set to 2" tape. And the song is great theater.

Aja became first my daughter's middle name in 1997, then as a nod to her, my company (www.AjaDocks.com) and now the Capri. For accounting reasons, the Capri may be re-named "Aja Work Barge." Company owned and it looks better on the books that way, ya know... ;-)

Yeah, Saturday's wind and direction is looking pretty good for a lap or two around Mother's Arms as well.

I'll feel quite guilty if I don't get on the water!
