Interesting...but a bit far from my home waters. That and the thought of Florida in July.....It makes the Chesapeake Bay look cool!

I must have not read that right. Still, a bit far from the Chesapeake Bay. I plan to head towards Tangier Island, VA a week or two before that. That would mean over 1,000 miles on my trailer each way....ack!

MMMMmmmm.......we're planning on being in the area for the "North Gulf Coast Cruise" in May hosted by the Catalina-22 Fleet in Ft Walton Beach, might have to stick around the area for the B.E.E.R. Heck, sounds like a good justification for a 2,200 mile tow to Florida, besides, always wanted to make this cruise also.

I went to B.E.E.R Cruise last year and had a awesome experience! It was a first for me but the protected waters, nice weather, and other cruisers always willing to help out made it a wonderful experience. Not sure where I am heading this year. Really enjoyed the BEER Cruise but thinking maybe I might go to the Gulf Coast Cruise. Work will decide for me as always. Was thinking the cruise was in June not July? Will have to check on that. Yes is was a little hot at night but I had a portable A/C that made life very comfortable on the boat. Good group of people if you go.

i am contemplating going. I cant decide between this and the northern gulf coast cruise... this one looks like less sailing more hanging out (as the scope, I know we are free to sail as much as we want), but then again I don't know how far sailboat cove is from the launch either.

First night you stay at the marina and head out the next morning. Different groups left at different times. About a 2 to 3 hour sail to Pensacola Board Walk. I really enjoyed being anchored right off the boardwalk. Not so much when is comes time to hit the sack. Music plays way into the night. Luckily I had a generator and air-condition to drown out the noise. Sailboat Cove I think is about a 2 to 3 hour sail as well. Last year we sailed to Pirates Cove a couple hours more and spent the night. Then headed back to sailboat cove and spent the night. Several spent two nights at sailboat cove. Beautiful beach! About 50 yards of white sand between you and the open ocean. Look to your left or right cannot see a house or hotel any where, just open beach!

NorSea 27 Az., Doing the To-Do list
Went last year and had a good time. But most likely will not make it this as we are heading further south on the Gulf side of Florida.

The opening dinner at the marina was GREAT!!!

ENJOY!!!

I was wondering what was up with all the Catalina 22's. They all signed up at almost the same time (I'm the guy who updates the skippers page).
Felt like they were taking over :)

Chris, not sure about the others but Gene and I discussed and decided to go at the same time, so we were the only ones who conspiricized (is that a word? lol) to take over... the rest must have just "felt the vibes"

Bring it on! Seriously, we wanted to do this cruise in 2013 when we traveled to the C-22 National's at Ft Walton Beach. Problem was both events took place at the same time. But we'll make it this year. Really looking forward to the event.

Delezynki, you know I remember seeing a Nor'Sea at the cruise but had no idea it was the same boat I had watched videos on youtube. You had the reddish sails. Seems like there was two boats with same reddish sails. Not sure if you two where together. We have talked some on sailnet as well about biggest trailerable sailboats. I go by kyhillbilly there. Wished we would have had a chance to talk. Would love to have been able to check your boat out!
