Everwear laminate sole discoloring

I have a 2006 Hunter 38 with the Everwear laminate sole. A previous owner spilled some chemical on the surface (battery acid maybe based on location) which has caused the finish to become 'milky' or 'cloudy'. This is in the surface layers and will not scrub off. There is a coffee stain in the galley that will not wipe up. Also, the PO dinged the floor in several places. See photos. Is there a way to renew or refinish this stuff or at least soften the discoloring? Is appears to be a plastic coating over a teak and holly veneer. The veneer is paper thin based on areas routed out to reveal the substrate. I am 100% sure that sanding would burn right through the veneer without superhuman control. Any shared experience would be appreciated.

You got a challenge. The milky areas may be in the clear coat. Only way to tell would to try and remove the surface covering. you might have luck with some 400 grit. Hand rub to see what happens. Choose a place out of view if possible.

Once you get to wood, I‘d try wiping down with denatured alcohol and then the water based varnish Halcyon from Total Boat. Dry time about 70 minutes. You can over coat up to 3 times in 24 hours no sanding between coats. Lays up smooth and glossy. I love the stuff for interior wood. They also have a clear satin finish.
