Looks like a sink or swim situation. Thanks for sharing!

When I was in collage, I used to do a lot of solo camping up in the far north of Wisconsin and Minnesota. One day I was sitting by a lake trying to catch a fish and I was watching an eagle circle overhead when the eagle power dived into the water. It was stunning. It must have hit the water at a minimum of 30 mph. It was so unexpected that for a brief second I could not understand why that eagle had just committed suicide. Then the eagle broke the surface and powered up out of the water with a fish in its talons. It was a magnificent thing to witness.

Yes, we've seen this before on the Delaware River up above the water gap. We were kayaking and could see something white that seemed to be fluttering in the water. I said "what has a white head that would be swimming like that?" My son said "there are also white tail feathers so it could be an eagle". I didn't believe it until it emerged on shore with an eel in its grip (just like the video) and then it flew off.

It's what happens when you order a lunch bigger than you can lift.

Great pic Russ.
