Well here is where I installed P70. No difference in reading no matter where else I go with it. Compass has not been calibrated as far as I know. However, I am on a lake that I can see across, so as long as unit maintains heading, I am good.

Glad to see it works fine. I plan on installing the sensor core and acu-100 down below. Any reason why you didn't fish the wires down the pedestal guard? I know I would be tripping over the wires and kicking into the sensor core. ;)

Not necessary for me. The GPS sensor is Guarded by the wood block over it. Foot never fits where wires come across and enters fiberglass as the mounting on top of the pedestal requires I step up on the seat to get around it..

Not necessarily how I would do it but it's your boat. Have you tried it out yet on the water to see how it works? I guess you need to go in circles a few times to get it set?

Went sailing with new setup today and it worked flawlessly.

JohnVTX, I noticed that there is a 10-15 degree difference between your Danforth compass and the Ray Marine. That's pretty significant. I would figure out which is off and correct for it. The ev-100 software allows for some adjustment of it's heading info if needed.
I just installed the ev-100 in my Hunter 27 and placed the fluxgate sensor under the port settee and the computer under the nav desk. The p70 control head on the port side wall adjacent to the pedestal.

I have the deviation down to 2 degrees after calibrating
