Does anyone know if a Honda eu3000is will run the A/C on a 1993 Hunter 37.5? Thanks

It will if the unit is 16K btu or less. I can run my 12K Mermaid A/C with my 2000W Honda.

It should run it fine if you do the math.

The gen set is 3000Watts.

To determine what the A/C requires, Simply use this formula.

AMPS x Voltage" usually 120Volts" = WATTS

So we have 2 of the 3 variables as follows.

3000/120=25 AMPS " current"

The critical element is the start or in-rush current requirement of the A/C unit. Without know which A/C you have, you really don't know for sure unless you find out, tell us or try it on a rental.

Just keep in mind that the normal operating range of a generator is 75% of the rated maximum capacity. That drops the 25 amps down to about 19 amps.
