You shouldn't/can't/better not try to do thatDead
You use your inverter to power your battery charger?
No - just an inverter. I have a Tru-charge 40 amp battery charger.Dead You use your inverter to power your battery charger?
It appears from this that you are charging via the inverter. Perhaps a mistatement?I use it to power my reverse cycle A/C, not battery charging or other AC devices. I use a 3000w inverter for those loads.

An ELCI is a standard breaker but also a "leakage" breaker. To really dumb it down it is like a larger version of a GFCI but instead of tripping at 5mA of leakage it trips at 30mA of leakage.... It will trip when the white/neutral and black/hot wires have an imbalance of 30mA / 0.03A....thanks Maine...i misunderstood thinking that there was a 46 lb 3000 unite out there .....on the subject of ELCI main breakers....i have the old 3 pole single toggle main breaker in my panel that has a lock out feature that if you have reverse polarity it stays tripped till the reverse polarity fault is corrected is there much difference in that one and the ELCI..............sorry for hijacking the thread.........
