Could anyone tell me if and when US built yachts were sold with the new CE mark to comply with EU standards? Also what is the relationship between Hunter in the US

There was a _loooooong_ thread about this in 2001, and some excellent posts toward the end of the thread that explained it all quite well. In a nutshell, true CE certified boats are built for European standards that don'ty always make sense in the US. So on the surface, the answer is no, US boats are not strictly CE certified. However, from what I can tell and have been told, the differences are only what youwould normally find in boats sold in Europe vs the US. As for Hunter UK, they have no connection to Hunter Marine in the US.

Luhrs Marine Limited = Hunter US

Phil, Just so you know, Knotlines (Hunter's quaterly magazine) had an article in the latest issue on the new plant they opened in England that is now in production of Hunter boats. The name is Luhrs Marine Limited, but the produce the Hunter line. They showed a picture of the first 290 off the line. Steve
