EU Honda 2000

I am on the market for a EU Honda 2000 generator for my 376 Hunter.
So far, the best offer I seen was at the Seattle Boat Show ...for the price of $985.00.
Any of you fellow sailors seen a better price? Freight?

About a year ago I saw $ at $867. Seems like a good deal with what you have. Do some research on different websites, do searches on Honda EU2000 prices. That's what I'd do. The C34 and C36 guys use them a lot. www.c3Xia.org

Check Mayberry's and if you have a ham radio call, that is usually worth another $35-50 off depending on the time of the year.

They are well worth the money.

Ditto on Wise. I got mine in three days. I think it was $889 shipped to my door last year. Ask Wise what models they have. One model is a cosmetic paint job- a camo desgn. There are two plug options that I'm aware of. One has the 12 volt charger outputs (charger cord required) to clip to a battery, and dual 110/15-amp plugs(like in home). Actually the 15-amp plugs are of the 20-amp configuration. The other model is a 30-amp (like shore power) and I believe a single 110. I got the charger-output one, but now wish I had gotten the 30-amp since I'll use this on the boat moslty.

There's the eu2000i and the eu2000 Companion. Read the specs to learn the differences.

Most folks I know have the one with the 30 A output and just build pigtails to plug into their shorepower plugs and run their chargers.

The " i " in 2000 means inverter for a clean AC sine wave to better operate sensitive electronics like computers and testing equipment... according to their catalog. I think all of the 2000s are now " i "s. A non- i one is probably older and might get a better price?

Great generator! Bought mine last season for $850+ tax. Now when traveling don't need to worry about staying on a hook / mooring.
