Escape mambo 11.5 mn
I have an 11.5ft Escape Mambo, one piece plastic hull.... it has cracked where the Keel slides into the bottom of the boat. I have tried caulking, but this year it has cracked much longer and in two places..... any ideas on how to combat/fix a plastic hull? This is plastic similiar to a "One Step" or "Little Tikes" toys but a little bit thicker and denser. Thanks for any help.

FWIW: Don't know the boat or it's composition, but some plastics can be "Welded". A local auto body shop may do this kind of work OR You tube "plastic bumper repair".

Is this the boat you are asking about?

If in fact it is a polyethylene plastic there are lots of YouTube videos about how to repair.

Could a hot glue gun do the trick?
That is basically the method. However, an ordinary hot glue stick won't work. The plastic has to melt, it is more like metal welding than glueing. The two sides of the crack melt and polyethylene is melted into the crack.

Check out G-Flex epoxy by West Systems. It will work on a few different types of plastic if you follow their instructions.
