Loved my 1974 Ericson 32
Ericson is an sturdily built, superior among other production boats. I liked the integrated keel as opposed to the bolt on keels of other makes. The sleek hull was faster than other boats of the same size but had a little less interior room. I noticed that it fish-tailed going down wind, broad reach to running, more than most boats but heard from other Ericson owners that this was characteristic. Mine had a Palmer gas engine which I and even the surveyor mistook for an Atomic 4 engine. Palmers were discontinued over thirty years ago and they are difficult to get parts for although they are sweet running engines. At the time I had it berthed in Ventura And lived in the Antelope Valley.
