Our tiller-steered Ericson 26 is difficult to sail and doesn't have much "feel" because the steering is so stiff. The boat doesn't have too much weather helm and is balanced in that respect. I understand that this boat does not have rudder bearings. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there an easy way to correct the problem? I have sailed an Islander 28 and have been able to steer the boat with two fingers on the tiller!
